How to replace the Window Crank Handles on the door on 2005 GMC Canyon?

You should start your window crank handle replacement by lifting the window completely up. Place the Door Handle Clip Remover (J 9886-01) at the handle edge between its base and white plastic washer. Position the tool alongside the handle then push it to break the retaining clip loose. Pull the handle from the door after disconnecting the clip then take off the bearing plate. Put the window into its highest position before placing the washer over the regulator shaft and fixing the clip onto the handle base. Put the window crank handle in a 50-degree forward position and push firmly to connect the clip to the shaft.
