An engine installation process starts with transmission removal followed by recording both the engine Flywheel positioning and its direction before extraction. Pull out both Flywheel bolts followed by the removal of the Flywheel. The spacer should be taken out of the Crankshaft's rear by applying clockwise torque to two m11 x 1.5 mm bolts installed into threaded spacer holes. Begin installation by setting the spacer on the Crankshaft rear before installing the Flywheel and Crankshaft bolts while using longer bolts if a spacer exists. Treat the Flywheel bolt threads with threadlock gm p/n 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or an equivalent solution. The sequence for tight Flywheel bolt adjustment includes initial torque to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.) followed by 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) then final tightening to 100 nm (74 ft. Lbs.). Reassembly of the transmission becomes possible after following this process.
