Group all valve train components as you take them apart to make reassembly easier. Setting air pressure to 50 psi first then pressurizing the cylinder keeps the crankshaft still. First lift the vehicle to work space and unplug the torque converter's access area. Position a crankshaft balancer remover tool with a 15 mm holding bar onto a torque converter bolt to secure the crankshaft before applying the tool (J 44226). Then lower the vehicle. The Camshaft sprocket holding tool (J 44222) reduces valve train interruption by holding the Cylinder Head from chain damage while owners vertically tighten Camshaft sprocket bolts to keep proper timing chain tension.
