How to service the exhaust hangers and maintain the support of the exhaust system on 2006 Cadillac CTS?

A vehicle raising process with support is necessary before servicing exhaust hangers for proper exhaust system support. Put suitable lubricant on the exhaust pipe hanger rod while freeing the front exhaust hanger from the rear suspension hanger rod . Use a tool to secure the front exhaust hanger separate from its mount on the exhaust pipe hanger rod . The tail pipe hanger will become easier to detach when both the tail pipe hanger rod and the body support bracket rod get properly lubricated. You should coat all surfaces of the body support bracket rod with soapy solution and tail pipe hanger rod and its interior as a preparation step for installation. Press the tail pipe hanger on top of the tail pipe hanger rod before placing it onto the body support bracket rod. A soapy solution should be applied to both the exhaust pipe hanger rod and front exhaust hanger inner surface prior to fitting the front exhaust hanger onto the exhaust pipe hanger rod followed by the rear suspension hanger rod . Finally, lower the vehicle.
