How to service and replace the exhaust hangers on Cadillac CTS?

First service professionals should raise the vehicle while using proper support methods. Use a suitable lubricant on the exhaust pipe hanger rod to free the front exhaust hanger from the rear suspension hanger rod for the removal process. The front exhaust hanger must be pried away from the exhaust pipe hanger rod. Both the left body support bracket rod and tail pipe hanger rod should receive a lubricating application to simplify the removal process of the tail pipe hanger. The tail pipe hanger can then be pried out from both the tail pipe hanger rod and body support bracket rod. You should use a soapy solution on the left body support bracket rod and the tail pipe hanger rod interior along with the tail pipe hanger to make installation easier. The hanger rod slot of the tail pipe hanger must pass over the tail pipe hanger rod before moving towards the body support bracket rod. A soapy solution should be applied to the exhaust pipe hanger rod and the inner diameter of the front exhaust hanger. Then install the front exhaust hanger by pressing it down onto the exhaust pipe hanger rod followed by the rear suspension hanger rod. Finally, lower the vehicle.
