How to replace the left exhaust manifold (LA3, LY9) on Cadillac CTS?

The first step for left Exhaust Manifold (LA3, LY9) replacement requires the accessory mounting bracket removal and heated Oxygen Sensor pigtail disconnection from the wiring harness connector. The process starts by taking off the left Catalytic Converter together with any replacement of the heated Oxygen Sensor. Remove the left Exhaust Manifold by taking out its retaining nuts before you can take it off with its gasket and do not use the discarded gasket again. The left Exhaust Manifold requires inspection after thorough cleaning beforeplacement.
