How to replace the headlamp washer pump on 2006 Cadillac SRX?

Start by taking off the lower air deflector and the wheelhouse liner from the passenger side front. Use tools to disconnect both washer hoses and electrical plug from the pump while emptying the washer solvent tank. Use a flat tool to push the washer pump top while pulling it out from the washer solvent container. Keep holding the pump as you remove it and dispose of the washer pump grommet. Put the washer pump grommet inside the washer solvent container before you lubricate the washer pump intake nozzle with clean water to make the pump easier to install. Fit the washer nozzle into the washer solvent container until it clicks in place then connect the power plug and washer hose. Place back the passenger side front wheelhouse liner and lower air deflector part. After opening the hood you should add washer solvent to the container and shut the hood.
