    A: To remove the engine sight shield first, then push down and remove the purge solenoid valve; it does not require unscrewing. Unplug the electronic connection of the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve and the tube of the EVAP purge solenoid. In order to remove the EVAP purge tube connector disengage the retaining tab by moving it to release position and remove the connection. Then remove, the bolt of the EVAP canister purge valve, and then the EVAP canister purge valve. For installation, start by installing EVAP canister purge valve and comply with Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Fix the EVAP canister purge valve bolt with a torque specification of 10 N.m (89 lb in). Connect the EVAP purge tube to the purge solenoid, then the EVAP canister purge valve electrical connector. Lastly, install the engine sight shield back.
