How to Replace Canister Purge Valves on Chevrolet Avalanche 2500?

A mechanic should start valve replacement by unplugging the fuel injection sight shield retaining bolt while also removing the fuel injection sight shield. The retaining tab of the evap purge pipe connector needs to be unlocked by sliding it. Separate the connection after disconnecting the evap Canister Purge Valves harness connector. The evap canister purge valve requires removal of its retaining bolt after disconnecting the evap purge pipe connector from the evap canister purge valve. The installer should place the evap canister purge valve onto the Intake Manifold before attaching a retaining bolt that needs to be tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Connect the purge pipe connector by joining the components until the tab clicks then connect the pipe to the evap canister purge valve and the harness connector. Place back the fuel injection sight shield with its retaining bolt secured at 10 n.m (89 lb in).
