Disconnection of the Electrical connector from the EGR valve stands as the first step before replacing it. Proceed by unfastening the two retaining nuts from the EGR valve then extract the EGR valve from its position. Wash out the EGR valve adapter bracket by removing its gasket while cleaning it from any residue. Put a new gasket on the EGR adapter bracket prior to inserting the EGR valve while fastening the two nuts until they reach 22 N.m (16 lb ft). The installation process ends by reattaching the electrical connector to the EGR valve.
