The removal process of right Exhaust Manifold from an 8.1l engine starts with wheelhouse panel and oil level indicator elimination. Grasp only the boot and rotate it clockwise one-half turn until it breaks loose. After that, pull the boot separately to protect the Spark Plug wire and plug from damage. The next step requires removing the Spark Plug Wires from both spark plugs and coils before pulling out the spark plugs. Begin by raising the vehicle to support its weight and continue by removing the heat shield bolts followed by the nuts and finally remove the heat shield. Lower the vehicle after which remove the Exhaust Manifold bolts then the nuts before taking out the manifold. The installation process starts with discarding the old Exhaust Manifold Gasket while cleaning and examining the manifold surface. You must first set the new Exhaust Manifold Gasket before mounting the Exhaust Manifold. Fasten the bolt to 35 nm (26 ft. Lbs.) while the nuts should be tightened to 16 nm (12 ft. Lbs.). Raising the vehicle to a proper height, mount the heat shield before tightening bolt and nuts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). The installation requires operators to first lower the vehicle and then fit spark plugs by pushing Spark Plug Wires directly onto Spark Plug boots without depending on metal heat shield usage.
