In order to replace the valve lifters, take off intake manifold, valve rocker arms and pushrods. Unscrew the valve lifter guide retainer guides and bolts. Map out the lifters to be installed. Stick lifters can be removed by a remover. Wash and check them, change where necessary. Apply some lubricant and replace the parts, keeping them in right position.
