How to replace the Windshield Wiper Switch on 2006 Chevrolet Aveo?

Start with battery disconnect by taking out the negative cable to switch out the windshield washer component. Start by unscrewing the lower steering column cover panel and then taking out the panel. You can reach the steering column screws by turning the wheel and remove the screws plus the upper panel. Press the tabs on both sides of the Wiper Switch housing until you can pull out the switch unit and undo its electrical connections. Join electrical wires to the new Wiper Switch before slotting it into its holder. Put back the lower cover panel and fasten it with screws while tightening them to 3 n.m (27 lb ft). After that replace the upper steering column cover panel and install its screws before making the final adjustment to 3 n.m (27 lb ft). After completing all tasks reconnect the Battery Cable with its negative terminal.
