How to replace the multifunction turn signal switch on 2006 Chevrolet Aveo?

Start work on the multifunction Turn Signal Switch replacement by disconnecting the car battery negative cable safely. You can open the steering column by unscrewing the screws that hold the lower cover panel and steering the wheel to reach and take off screws from the upper cover panel before removing it. Use your fingers to push on the switch housing tabs at both sides and take out the Turn Signal Switch. Then disconnect its wires. Join the electrical components to the new Turn Signal Switch then place the switch into its housing. Secure the lower steering column cover panel to its screws by applying 3 nm of torque followed by installing the upper steering column cover panel and screwing it in at 3 nm of torque. Reconnect the ground Battery Cable last.
