Begin by disconnecting the electrical connector of the intake CMP sensor before extracting the bolt securing the sensor and removing the sensor unit itself. Engine oil should be applied to both the CMP sensor O-ring seal before any installation tasks start. Check for any damage on the CMP sensor at this time too. Replace the sensor as needed in case of any detected damage. Insert the CMP sensor through its mounting location before using the CMP sensor bolt to attach it while tightening the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in). To finish the installation reconnect the electrical connector of the intake CMP sensor then install the intake manifold cover.
