Before starting work secure the rear compartment lid by raising it. First separate both the compartment hinge bolts and the hinge nuts from their positions. After that detach the compartment lid hinge from your vehicle. Set the rear compartment lid hinge on the vehicle and thread rear compartment hinge nuts through its studs on the decklid. Tighten them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Install the rear compartment hinge bolts onto the hinge before you fasten them with a torque of 10 N.m (89 lb in). Use the last step to tweak the rear storage space opening.
