Before you start raise the rear compartment lid and place it in a stable position. Take out both bolt types from their respective installation points: the bolts from the compartment hinge and nuts from decklid studs. Pull the compartment lid hinge from its place in the vehicle. Fit the rear compartment lid hinge against the vehicle first. Then put the rear compartment hinge nuts onto the decklid studs and fasten them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Put on the hinge bolts of the rear compartment onto the hinge plate afterward secure them to 10 N.m (89 lb in) torque. Make required adjustments to the rear compartment lid.
