How to replace the rear liftgate hinge on Chevrolet Cobalt?

Lift the rear compartment lid for support and start replacing its hinge. Take off the bolts from the rear compartment hinge as the first step and then disconnect the nuts from the decklid studs. Lift and secure the rear compartment lid then take out the hinge from your car. Set the rear compartment lid hinge into its proper place on the vehicle while securing the rear compartment nuts onto the decklid studs and tightening them to 10 Nm (89 lb in). Put the rear compartment hinge bolts on the hinge and torque them to 10 Nm (89 lb in). Make any necessary changes to the rear compartment lid after everything is installed.
