  A: The ABS Control Module harness connector should be disconnected before turning off the ignition and then beginning to remove the ABS Control Module (ABS). Take off the 2 insulator nuts to raise the abs/brake pressure modulated valve (BPMV) above the bracket which will enable space for installing the abs and insulator mounting bolt. First step entails removing the insulator mounting bolt from the abs before moving on to the 6 abs to bpmv bolts until you can pull apart the abs from the bpmv. You can maintain usage of the reusable seal after removing it from the unit. The bpmv seal can be installed onto its cleaned surface but only when the seal remains intact. Install the abs onto the bpmv by tightening at 3 nm (27 inch lbs.) during first bolt pass and 6 nm (53 inch lbs.) during second bolt pass while following the bolt mounting sequence. The front abs insulator mounting bolt requires a new insulator if the insulator nut has been taken off and needs to be tightened to 14 nm (10 ft. Lbs.). Insert the abs/bpmv into its bracket after installing two insulator nuts which need to be tightened to 12 nm (106 inch lbs.). Reinsert the abs harness connector only when both lever sides plug into their respective receptacles and the housing can shut.
