  A: In order to install the inflatable restraint Steering Wheel module coil, one would first need to disable the sir system and remove sir and the upper and lower shrouds the Steering Wheel off. Pull off the Steering Wheel column wire harness (Wire Harness) from the wire harness straps (Straps) and remove the retaining ring (Retaining Ring) in order to remove the air bag clock spring (Air Bag Clock Spring) from the Steering Shaft. After installation, two tighteners should be thoroughly lubricated with water-resistant silicon adhesive (water-resistant silicone adhesive). Then, the caps should be put back on the tighteners. Mount the installed air bag clock spring assembly (Air Bag Clock Spring Assembly) on the Steering Shaft assembly (Steering Shaft Assembly) aligning the opening with the horn tower and against locating bump on the two tabs on lock housing cover and sleeve assembly, then drive it onto the Steering Shaft assembly. If using a new air bag clock spring assembly (Air Bag Clock Spring Assembly), you will then attach the pre-centered unit to the Steering Shaft assembly align it similar and remove the centering tab before adding on the retaining ring (Retaining Ring) to the Steering Shaft assembly. Route the lower coil wire harness alongside the steering column; reconnect the Steering Wheel column wire harness (Wire Harness) to the wire harness straps (Straps), and reinstall the Steering Wheel and shrouds. Lastly, reinstall the sir system and turn on the sir system.
