The first step in rear park brake cable replacement requires disabling the park brake automatic adjuster while supporting the vehicle during elevation. You must remove the rh Muffler followed by disconnecting the rear park brake cable at its retainer and equalizer points. Start by removing the rear park brake cable from the rear suspension mounting bracket then take off its retainer nut before pulling out the cable from the vehicle. Start with installing the rear Parking Brake Cable into place following retainer nut tightening. Apply the cable to the rear suspension mounting bracket followed by connecting it to the retainer and equalizer. After lowering the vehicle install the rh Muffler along with enabling the automatic adjuster for the park brake.
