• Q: How to replace the throttle body assembly on 2006 Chevrolet Equinox?

  A: When replacing Throttle Body assembly start by removing the air cleaner intake duct with the heater outlet pipe. A shop towel should cover the Throttle Body opening so shop air can blow dirt away from the base of the Throttle Body. Use a finger to pull up the tac module electrical connector lock which will release the tac module. Begin by removing the Throttle Body bolts then pull out the Throttle Body from its Intake Manifold position while blocking the manifold opening with a new shop towel to stop dirt entry. Pull out the Throttle Body studs only when needed. Reinstall Throttle Body studs if they have been taken out during installation then apply torque to 6 n.m (53 lb in). Place the Throttle Body onto the Intake Manifold followed by torqueing the Throttle Body bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Press down the connector lock to secure it while reattaching the tac module electrical connector to the tac module. Reinstall the heater outlet pipe followed by the air cleaner intake duct.
