To change the exhaust manifold, it is necessary to remove the heat shield, pre catalyst heated oxygen sensor, and catalytic converter. Scrap the manifold nuts and wipe off the manifold and gasket. Wipe off the engine block, replace the gasket, and the manifold and tighten the new nuts in that order. Installation of catalytic converter and heat shield again.
