2007 Chevrolet HHR Exhaust Manifold Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the exhaust manifold on 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
A: The replacement process starts with draining the heat shield from the Exhaust Manifold followed by extraction of pre catalyst heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) and Catalytic Converter. First remove the Exhaust Manifold nuts before extracting the Exhaust Manifold and disposing of the Exhaust Manifold Gasket along with it. A new Exhaust Manifold Gasket needs to be placed on the studs after cleaning the engine block sealing surface before installing the Exhaust Manifold. Installation requires new exhaust nuts which need to be fastened in the correct sequence of 14 n.m (10 lb ft). Reinstall the Exhaust Manifold heat shield with the pre catalyst ho2s then install the Catalytic Converter as the final step.
