How to replace a catalytic converter on 2007 Chevrolet HHR?

First, lifting and suitably supporting the vehicle. Take off the exhaust Muffler nuts, and pull back the Muffler assembly to free it from the Catalytic Converter. Next, remove the post catalyst heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) then the Catalytic Converter nuts then remove the Catalytic Converter from the Exhaust Manifold, throw away the catalytic gasket converter to Exhaust Manifold. For the installation, fit a new gasket to the Exhaust Manifold studs and mount the Catalytic Converter onto the Exhaust Manifold, and tighten the Catalytic Converter nuts to 46 n.m (34 lb ft). Remove the post catalyst ho2s; pull back the Muffler assembly to mate it with Catalytic Converter and install the exhaust Muffler nuts tightened to 46 n.m (34 lb ft) before lowering vehicle. Notably, the exhaust flex decoupler should not be bent more than 3 degrees to the side in order to prevent damage.
