A technician must begin engine Flywheel replacement by taking off the transmission first. First you must remove the Flywheel bolts while keeping note of the Flywheel position versus Crankshaft before taking out the Flywheel. You should position the Flywheel on the Crankshaft in the indicated way before you install the Flywheel bolts according to service precautions for fasteners. After tightening the Flywheel bolts to 53 nm (39 ft. Lbs.) with an additional 25 degrees torque angle install the transmission.
