How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 2 Sensor 2 on 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 3500?

Start by elevating the vehicle to perform Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 2 Sensor 2 replacement. Use a tool to remove the connector position assurance retainer so the therapists can free the HO2S connector clip from its position on the frame structure. Vehicles equipped with 4.8L or 5.3L engines require users to detach their HO2S electrical connectors. Follow the same installation steps for those vehicles which use a 6.0L engine. Remove the HO2S. During installation reusing the existing sensor requires application of anti-seize compound GM P/N 12377953 or equivalent to the HO2S threads because the sensor utilizes an anti-seize compound containing liquid graphite and glass beads for improved removal. Tighten the HO2S to 42 N.m using 31 lb ft torque when installing it. Proceed with connecting the HO2S electrical connector for vehicles with the 6.0L engine then complete the procedure by connecting the 4.8L and 5.3L engines. After attaching the HO2S connector clip to the frame you can proceed to remove the CPA retainer followed by lowering the vehicle.
