    Q:
How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1 on Cadillac Escalade EXT? Posted by Customer
    A:
Organize this installation by first properly supporting the vehicle using a suitable height. Prior to moving forward begin by removing the front propeller shaft from the front Differential if needed. The connector position assurance (CPA) retainer should be detached then you can remove the ho2s electrical connector from its fuel line clip. Vehicles with either a 4.8l or 5.3l engine require disconnecting the ho2s electrical connector. Both 6.0l engine owners and 4.8l and 5.3l engine owners should repeat these same steps. Follow the ho2s removal process carefully while avoiding strong insertion of force. Use anti-seize compound gm p/n 12377953 or an equivalent to coat ho2s threads when using previously employed sensors because a special anti-seize compound containing liquid graphite combined with glass beads helps achieve improved ho2s thread removal. Secure the ho2s with a torque of 42 n.m (31 lb ft). The installation of the ho2s electrical connector requires connection of the device for both 6.0l engines and 4.8l or 5.3l motors. Before lowering the vehicle, reconnect ho2s electrical connector to fuel line clip and discontinue cpa retainer while installing front propeller shaft to front Differential if required.

    Q:
How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1 on Chevrolet Silverado 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Vehicle lifting and support becomes the first step to replace the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) bank 1 sensor 1. You should remove the front propeller shaft from the front Differential when necessary. Remove the ho2s electrical connector from the fuel line clip by disengaging the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer. The ho2s electrical connector needs disconnecting from vehicles that run a 4.8l or 5.3l engine. 6.0l engine owners have to disconnect both the ho2s electrical connector and the sensor itself before proceeding. Remove the ho2s. Users should apply anti-seize compound gm p/n 12377953 to sensor threads during installation because it helps sensor removal in the future. Secure the ho2s using a torque of 42 n.m (31 lb ft). The ho2s electrical connector requires connection for the 6.0l engine and separately for the 4.8l or 5.3l engine through connecting the ho2s electrical connector. Next step is to bolt the front propeller shaft to the front Differential then lower the vehicle. You should reattach the ho2s electrical connector to the fuel line clip and disconnect the cpa retainer.

    Q:
How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 1 Sensor 1 on Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
In order to replace the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) for Bank 1 Sensor 1, one should first raise and support the vehicle accordingly. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer and remove the HO2S electrical connector as well. Remove the bank 1 HO2S . When installing, apply a special anti-seize compound in the HO2S threads - liquids made of graphite wadding and glass beads; When new or replacement service sensors arrive, this compound is pre-applied. If replacing the old sensor, apply anti-seize material GM P/N 12377953 or its equivalent to the threads. The bank 1 HO2S , install and tighten it to 42 N.m (31 lb ft). Reconnect the HO2S connector and CPA retainer and then lower the vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 1 Sensor 2 on Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
A proper support system must be implemented to service the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 1 Sensor 2. When fitting new sensors detach both fuel composition sensor electrical connector and the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer. Oxygen sensor installation should start by taking out the HO2S electrical connector from the fuel line clip when fuel composition sensors are present. Drivers should remove the HO2S electrical connector from 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L engine models. Next, remove the HO2S. When replacing the sensor use GM P/N 12377953 anti-seize compound on its threads because this compound made from liquid graphite and glass beads helps with future removal. Mount the HO2S while tightening it to 42 N.m (31 lb ft). The sensor electrical connector connection belongs to the 6.0L engine but also applies to both 4.8L and 5.3L engines. When a fuel composition sensor is present you must attach the HO2S electrical connector to the fuel line clip before detaching the CPA retainer and reconnecting the fuel composition sensor electrical connector. Finally, lower the vehicle.
