  A: The procedure for transmission fluid filter replacement starts by raising the vehicle along with supporting it while positioning a drain pan below the Oil Pan. The range selector cable bracket will require clearance by removing bolts if present to access the transmission Oil Pan Drain Plug and lower the pan without unplugging the cable. Start by removing the Oil Pan bolts from the front and sides while working on the rear bolts with 4 turns of loosening and using a rubber mallet to tap the pan before fluid drainage.
