How to replace the fuel filler hose on 2006 GMC Canyon?

A proper replacement of the Fuel Filler Hose begins by partially draining the Fuel Tank beneath the Fuel Filler Hose level. The installer needs to raise the vehicle while supporting it adequately to reach the Fuel Filler Hose through the wheelhouse liner before removing the left pickup box wheelhouse liner. Start by taking off the bolt which attaches the Fuel Filler Hose ground strap to the frame and proceed to disconnect the Fuel Filler Hose from the Fuel Tank. Start by disconnecting the filler vent hose from the evaporative emission system then remove the Fuel Filler Hose screws before extracting it through the vehicle compartment. Put a cap on the exposed Fuel Tank opening. Place the Fuel Filler Hose to the fender and screw and tightly torque all Fuel Filler Hose screws to 2 n.m (18 lb in). Fasten the Fuel Filler Hose at the Fuel Tank with a clamp that requires tightness of 2.5 n.m (22 lb in). Secure both connections by installing the bolt which fastens the Fuel Filler Hose ground strap to the frame while tightening it to 9 n.m (80 lb in). The left pickup box wheelhouse liner receives reinstallation followed by a vehicle lowering process. The Fuel Tank receives refilling and the fuel fill cap installation then proceeds with a leakage inspection.
