The replacement of Power Steering Cooler pipe/hose (GT4) begins by positioning a drain pan under the vehicle before lifting and stabilizing it. Any dirt prevention needs require capping the Power Steering Cooler ends while disconnecting its hoses from the Power Steering Pump and power steering gear. Begin by removing the bolts from Power Steering Cooler mounts and pull out the cooler from your vehicle. Insert the Power Steering Cooler into the vehicle and start the mounting bolt installation by tightening them to 5 nm (44 inch lbs.). The power steering gear must receive the Power Steering Cooler hose with proper clamp torque of 33 nm (24 inch lbs.) before installing it onto the Power Steering Pump. Lower the car and eliminate air from the power steering before taking out the container.
