The first task for changing the Radiator outlet hose for lu3 and lr4 and lm7 and lq4 engines involves draining the cooling system. You should use hose clamp pliers (J38185) to unfasten the clamp on the Radiator outlet before moving onto the clamp at the engine then the coolant recovery reservoir clamp. Begin replacing the Radiator outlet hose by disconnecting it from the coolant recovery reservoir as well as the engine and Radiator. Installation of the new Radiator outlet hose starts by attaching it to the engine before moving to the Radiator and ending at the coolant recovery reservoir. The hose clamp pliers (J38185) should be used to apply clamps around the hose at both the coolant recovery reservoir and the engine and the Radiator outlet. Finally, fill the cooling system.
