    Q:
How to service and repair the Coolant Pipe for the surge tank hose replacement at the inlet on Chevrolet Express 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
A partial drain of the cooling system should be performed first before starting surge tank hose/pipe replacement at the inlet of the Coolant Reservoir. Use j38185 hose clamp pliers (J38185) to adjust surge tank inlet hose clamps before removing the hose from both surge tank and Radiator. Apply clean coolant along the interior widths of hoses just before installation. Proceed with the installation of the surge tank inlet hose beginning with the Radiator then moving it to the tank where the j38185 hose clamp pliers (J38185) help position the clamp. Finishing the procedure requires filling the cooling system.
