How to replace the air filter on 2006 GMC Sierra 1500?

First loosen the air cleaner outlet resonator clamp at the mass air flow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor then remove the outlet resonator from the mat/iat sensor. Start by removing the air cleaner while first removing the air cleaner cover using air cleaner cover screws then the air cleaner cover. Set the new air cleaner into place before mounting the air cleaner cover and maintaining a snug fit through air cleaner cover screw tightening. Secure the outlet resonator onto the mat/iat sensor while tightening the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the maf/iat sensor to 4 n.m (35 lb in).
