Air Filter

Start by taking off the intake duct and disconnecting the electrical connector which controls the MAF/IAT sensor. Start by unfastening the 4 fasteners on the air cleaner housing top cover and then lift the top cover to see the air filter. Check the air filter by extracting it from its position before examining it for signs of water or debris. If found, change or clean the filter. To replace the air filter first insert the new unit into the air cleaner housing before you rotate the top cover into position then fasten it with the appropriate fasteners. The MAF/IAT electrical connector needs to be properly reconnected before replacing the intake duct.

Start the air cleaner replacement by removing the air duct and disconnecting the MAF/IAT sensor's electrical connection. To access the air filter you must first remove the air cleaner housing cover after loosening the housing top screws. New air filters must be installed in the housing while you reattach the air cleaner housing cover which requires tightness control of the air cleaner housing top screws. To finish the procedure you need to secure the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector while putting back the air cleaner outlet duct.

Start the Air Filter service by loosening the air duct clamp at the Throttle Body and disconnecting the electrical connector from the maf/iat sensor. The air cleaner housing top cover must be unfastened by the 4 securing fasteners before the top cover can be lifted up for inspection of the Air Filter. Inspect the Air Filter by removing it from its position before checking for dust, dirt, or water damage. Decide whether to clean or replace the filter as needed. To install the air cleaner component you should first place the Air Filter into the housing, then rotate and install the top cover before fastening it securely with the appropriate hardware. Reverse the maf/iat electrical connection while performing a clamp adjustment to the air duct at the Throttle Body.

You need to start by loosening the air cleaner outlet resonator clamp at the mass air flow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor and taking out the outlet resonator from the mat/iat sensor. After removing the screws holding the air cleaner cover begin by removing the air cleaner cover itself and then remove the Air Filter. The new Air Filter needs to be inserted followed by installing the air cleaner cover while making sure all screws stay tight until they feel secure. Replace the outlet resonator to the mat/iat sensor while also tightening the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the maf/iat sensor to 4 n.m (35 lb in).

The first step to replace the air cleaner requires removing the engine harness electrical connector from the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. Start by disconnecting the harness electrical connector attached to the maf/iat sensor followed by loosening housing screws then lifting the housing cover to extract the Air Filter. You should install the new Air Filter before securing the air cleaner housing cover in place. Envelope the engine harness electrical connector to the maf/iat sensor after first tightening the air cleaner housing screws to 3 n.m (27 lb in) following the fastener notice.

You should begin by loosening the clamp on the air cleaner outlet resonator at the factor where it meets the maf and iat sensor then remove the resonator from the sensor. You must first disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the maf/iat sensor and then unscrew the air cleaner housing screws for you to lift the air cleaner housing cover to extract the Air Filter. Installation requires users to place the new Air Filter into position then install the air cleaner housing cover while tightening the housing screws to 3 n.m (27 lb in). Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the maf/iat sensor while you install the air cleaner outlet resonator to the maf/iat sensor. Finish your work by tightening the air cleaner outlet resonator clamp at the maf/iat sensor to 4 n.m (35 lb in).

You start air cleaner replacement by taking off the intake air resonator followed by disconnecting the mass air flow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor electrical connector. Before you can take out the air filter you should first release the air cleaner housing cover screws and then remove the cover. Check the air filter for dust, dirt and water presence then either clean it or substitute it with a new one. Install the new air filter followed by attachment of the air cleaner housing cover through screw tightening until a snug fit is achieved. Reinstall the intake air resonator after you reconnect the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector.

Install the NEW air filter element and then place the air cleaner housing cover back on.

Ensure to tighten the air cleaner housing screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

Place the new air filter element in position, reattach the air cleaner housing cover, and tighten the screws until snug.

Next, loosen the air cleaner cover screws and remove the air cleaner cover, followed by the removal of the air cleaner element.

Reattach the outlet resonator to the MAF/IAT sensor and tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the MAF/IAT sensor to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

Loosen the 4 fasteners securing the air cleaner housing top cover and lift and rotate the top cover to access the air filter element.

Reconnect the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector and reinstall the air cleaner outlet duct.

Insert the new air cleaner element and install the air cleaner cover, ensuring to tighten the air cleaner cover screws until snug.

Loosen the air cleaner housing top screws and remove the air cleaner housing cover to access the air filter element.

Reconnect the MAF/IAT electrical connector and tighten the clamp on the air duct at the throttle body.

Loosen the air cleaner housing top screws and remove the air cleaner housing cover to access the air filter element.

Place a NEW air filter element into the housing, reattach the air cleaner housing cover, and tighten the air cleaner housing top screws until snug.

Loosen the air cleaner cover screws and remove the air cleaner cover, followed by the removal of the air cleaner element.
