2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the air filter on 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?
A: Start by disconnecting the air cleaner outlet resonator clamp from the interface between mass air flow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor and outlet resonator before removing the outlet resonator from the mat/iat sensor. First remove the air cleaner cover after you loosen its cover screws to access the Air Filter for removal. When installing the new Air Filter start by securing the air cleaner cover into position before tightening its screws to the desired snugness. Connect the outlet resonator to the mat/iat sensor while keeping the maf/iat sensor air cleaner outlet duct clamp tightened to 4 n.m (35 lb in).
