How to clean the throttle body on 2006 GMC Sierra 3500?

Throttle body cleaning requires removal of the intake air resonator for proper access. Check the throttle body bore and the throttle body plate for deposits while opening the throttle plate to inspect all surfaces. Use GM top engine cleaner (P/N 1052626) or AC Delco Carburetor Tune-up Conditioner (P/N X66P) or its equivalent product to wipe down both the throttle body bore and throttle plate using a clean shop towel. Add the intake air resonator back into its original position.
