How to Service and Repair the Trunk Latch on 2007 Buick LaCrosse?

The rear compartment is opened, and the lid carpet removed, then to replace the rear compartment lid latch. Indicate the location of the latch, unconnect the electrical connectors and lock the cylinder actuator cable and replace the latch. Install new latch, reassemble parts, install carpet and close compartment.
