  A: The replacement of the left Exhaust Manifold (RPO LX9) demands removal of the right engine mount strut bracket and the thermostat bypass pipe followed by relocating the radiator inlet hose clamp at the thermostat housing before disbanding the radiator inlet hose. First remove bolts that secure the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield and then remove the heat shield and exhaust crossover pipe nuts from left Exhaust Manifold studs. To start replace the heat shield bolts before removing both the shield and Exhaust Manifold bolts where you should dispose of the old gasket while cleaning all sealing surfaces. You should install new Exhaust Manifold gaskets onto the studs before adding the Exhaust Manifold and fastening nuts to 16 n.m (12 lb ft).
