The replacement process for the left Exhaust Manifold starts by removing the throttle body air inlet duct followed by draining the engine coolant from the cooling system. The next step requires removal of the right engine mount strut bracket along with disconnecting the inlet Radiator Hose from the engine and removing the thermostat bypass pipe. As a next step remove the exhaust crossover pipe together with Exhaust Manifold heat shield bolts and the heat shield itself. First remove all Exhaust Manifold nuts before taking out both the Exhaust Manifold and its gasket from the engine block. The left Exhaust Manifold needs cleaning before installing it on the left cylinder head sealing surfaces of the engine. The Exhaust Manifold process begins by installing the gasket and manifold while using 16 n.m (12 lb ft) torque when securing the manifold nuts.
