2007 Buick Terraza Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on 2007 Buick Terraza?
A: Before you replace the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, first, drain the cooling system. If it becomes needed, take off the intake manifold cover and the exhaust crossover pipe. Take off the ECT sensor electrical connector and pull the ECT sensor out. Before putting in the new ECT sensor, make sure it matches the correct part number and coat the threads in GM P/N 13246004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or an equivalent. Put the ECT sensor in and fasten it to 20 N.m (15 lb ft). After connecting the ECT electrical connector, put the exhaust crossover pipe back in place and install the intake manifold cover if it has been removed. Finally, fill the cooling system.
