• Q: How to replace the lower intake manifold on 2007 Cadillac CTS?

  A: The procedure to replace the lower Intake Manifold begins with turning off the ignition before disconnecting the sight shield of fuel injectors and air inlet duct and separate brake booster hose from the Intake Manifold and extract purge solenoid valve electrical connector and purge line from the solenoid valve and remove all electrical connectors between the fuel injector harness and throttle body and wiring harness retainer. Begin by detaching the upper Intake Manifold brace bolt and stud then position the brace with the wiring harness before releasing the wiring harness retainer from the right side throttle body region. The positive crankcase valve (PCV) hose requires separation from the right bank camshaft cover and the barometric pressure (BARO) sensor electrical connector and Intake Manifold runner control solenoid electrical connector. The left bank ignition coil wiring harness needs to be removed from its bracket but you should maintain the upper to lower Intake Manifold bolts in position as well as avoid harming the fuel pipe.
