• Q: How to replace the digital radio antenna cable on 2007 Cadillac DTS?

  A: To replace the digital radio Antenna Cable, start with the removal of the rear sail panel and rear assist handles while delicate on the bending of the headliner. Lower the rear of the headliner then remove the Antenna Cable from the clips (2,3) and disconnect the Antenna Cable connection from above the am/fm Antenna module, removing the foam tape from this connection. Then, remove the Antenna connectors from the radio Antenna and connect a piece of wire or string to the end of the Antenna Cable. Removetrims off it, the left rear compartment trim panel and, disconnectthe antenncable, its connection to the digital receiver. Both the Antenna Cable from clips and rear harness need to be pulled through to the rear compartment, taking the cable out of the clips before removing the wire or string from the Antenna Cable before removing it out of the vehicle. For installation, connect the wire/string to the new cable, carefully guide the Antenna Cable beyond the rear shelf into the passengers and drive side of the vehicle, remove the wire/string. Connect the Antenna Cable connection to the digital receiver and attach the Antenna Cable to the hold-down clips in the rear compartment. Reinstall the left rear compartment trim panel, plug the Antenna connectors to digital radio Antenna, and cover the connector with foam tape. Mount the Antenna Cable connection on top of the am/fm Antenna module, connect the Antenna Cable to the locating clips on the roof and the pillar number three, align the headliner with the roof panel and lastly the rear assist handles and the upper rear quarter trim panel.
