How to replace the canister purge valves on 2007 Cadillac DTS?

Start by taking out the fuel injector sight shield before working on the Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve replacement. Start by removing the EVAP pipe connection from the valve's EVAP canister purge solenoid and disconnecting the engine harness electrical connector from this valve. Use a screwdriver to uninstall the bolt holding the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve before you extract the valve. Use of a NEW O-ring is necessary when you install a new EVAP canister purge solenoid valve. Attach the valve to its place and lock it fast using the bolt with a tape measured torque of 10 N.m (89 lb ft). After securing the engine harness electrical connector and EVAP pipe quick connect fitting onto the valve position it to install the fuel injector sight shield.
