How to replace the canister purge valves on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
A vehicle owner must switch the ignition off before starting the replacement of the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve. Start by detaching the purge line from the purge valve solenoid and then separate the electrical connector of that solenoid. The next step requires removal of the solenoid and bolt from the Intake Manifold after purging the line from its manifold connection. Install the purge valve solenoid to the Intake Manifold then tighten the purge solenoid bolt to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Begin the installation by attaching the purge line to the purge valve solenoid's manifold side followed by reconnecting electrical connectivity and finishing with the purge line connection to the purge valve solenoid.

    Q:
How to replace the canister purge valves on Buick Lucerne? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin replacing the Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve by removing the intake manifold cover. Begin by cutting the connection of the EVAP canister purge solenoid electrical connector then separating the chassis EVAP pipe from the EVAP canister purge solenoid. Taking out the valve bolt and the EVAP canister purge valve completes this step. Replace and position the EVAP canister purge valve keeping the bolt torque at 16 Nm (12 lb ft). The EVAP canister purge solenoid receives its chassis EVAP pipe connection followed by the reattachment of the solenoid electrical connector. You must reinstall the intake manifold cover as the last step.

    Q:
Can the PCV Valve Be Removed from the Valve Rocker Arm Cover on Buick Terraza? Posted by Customer
    A:
Both the PCV valve and the valve rocker arm cover must replace together because the PCV valve cannot be detached from its position. The first step involves taking out the left valve rocker arm cover from the engine block. The PCV valve can be cleaned instead of replacing the rocker arm cover when it proves non-defective. The procedure to clean this valve starts by taking out screws that secure PCV baffle followed by cleaning the PCV valve. The replacement of the valve cover becomes necessary when the PCV valve proves defective or uncleanable. Begin installation of the cleaned PCV valve by placing the PCV baffle first followed by securement of the PCV baffle screws to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.), then continue with left valve rocker arm cover installation.

    Q:
How to replace the canister purge valves on Buick Terraza? Posted by Customer
    A:
First, take off the intake manifold cover to replace the Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve. The engine harness electrical connector can be disconnected from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve and also disconnect the chassis EVAP pipe from the valve. Unfasten the bolt holding the EVAP canister purge valve and replace the EVAP canister purge valve. In the case of installation, we start with the EVAP canister purge valve that has to be put in position and make sure we follow the rider "Fastener Notice". Next please install the EVAP canister purge valve bolt and tighten the same to 16 N.m (12 lb ft). Reconnect the chassis EVAP pipe to the EVOP canister purge valve and connect the engine harness electrical connector to the valve. Lastly replace the intake manifold cover.

How to replace the canister purge valves on Cadillac SRX? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve, loosen system pressure by unscrewing fuel cap, then withdraw fuel injector sight shield. Disconnect the evap canister purge valve electrical connector and the evap purge pipe from the evap canister purge valve. Take out the retaining bolt, and remove the evap canister purge valve from the water housing. In the process of installing the new valve ensure that you use the new o-ring that is lubricated using the clean engine oil. Mount the evap canister purge valve over the water housing and clamp it with a retaining bolt that is torqued to 12 n.m (106 lb in). Reconnect the evap purge pipe and the electrical connector and, finally, reinstalled the fuel injector sight shield.

    Q:
How to replace the canister purge valves on Cadillac XLR? Posted by Customer
    A:
To do away with the Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve, take off the fuel injector sight shield. Next to this, there is still an engine vacuum pipe that needs to be disconnected from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve to the intake manifold EVAP pipe and also disconnection to the engine purge pipe to the EVAP canister purge valve and EVAP canister purge valve harness connector. After the replacement of the EVAP canister purge valve, install the new valve and push the harness connector to the valve. Next, link the engine purge pipe to the chassis purge pipe, and the engine vacuum pipe to the EVAP canister purge valve. Lastly, install the fuill injector sight shield.

    Q:
How to replace the canister purge valves on Chevrolet Cobalt? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start your repair of the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve by taking off the intake manifold cover. Detach the evap canister purge valve's engine harness electrical connector and remove the engine harness retainer from the valve bracket. Start by disremaining the evap canister purge valve tube from both the intake manifold and the chassis evap vapor line. First remove the evap canister purge valve bracket bolt to extract both the evap canister purge valve and its bracket. Check the valve ports for carbon release after removing the evap canister purge valve from its bracket. Replacing the evap canister and other necessary components becomes necessary if loose carbon buildup is observed in the inspection step. Install steps begin with attaching the evap canister purge valve to its bracket before positioning the bracket and valve onto the Cylinder Head region while maintaining all fastener precautions. Secure the evap canister purge valve bracket bolt using a torque of 18 nm (13 lb ft). The chassis evap vapor line must connect to the evap canister purge valve before reconnecting engine harness electrical connector to valve while installing the engine harness retainer on the bracket. Reposition the intake manifold cover before completing the installation.

    Q:
How to replace the canister purge valves on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the evap canister purge solenoid valve involves severing the connections between its harness connector and both vacuum pipe and purge pipe. Begin by removing the evap canister purge valve together with its bracket before finally taking off the valve from the purge bracket. A thorough examination of valve ports is needed to check for loose carbon deposits; evap canister replacement will be necessary if carbon particles exist because they must be eliminated. Install the evap canister purge valve by placing it on the purge bracket before attaching the valve and bracket while sealing the purge bracket nut to 8 n.m (71 lb in). The final step includes connecting the purge pipe along with the vacuum pipe to the evap canister purge valve and then restoring the harness connector into place.

How to replace the canister purge valves on Chevrolet Silverado 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by removing the air cleaner outlet resonator before you start replacing the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve. Begin the replacement by disconnecting the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve tube quick connect fitting from its connection to the evap purge solenoid valve then position the tube to the side as an obstruction. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the evap purge valve solenoid followed by bolt removal for the evap canister purge solenoid valve from the upper Intake Manifold surface. When needed, take out the upper Intake Manifold-mounted evap canister purge solenoid valve o-ring seal. Before installing the evap canister purge solenoid valve o-ring seal users should apply clean engine oil for easier installation outreach. Place the evap canister purge solenoid valve inside the upper Intake Manifold next install the evap canister purge solenoid valve bolt with 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque. The wiring operations commence with evap purge valve solenoid electrical connector connection to the solenoid followed by installing evap canister purge solenoid tube placement before attaching the tube quick connect fitting to the evap purge solenoid valve. The last step involves the installation of the air cleaner outlet resonator.
