Remove the EGR valve outlet pipe.

Remove the mounting bolt and the stud from the EGR valve inlet pipe bracket.

Reinstall the secondary air injection (AIR) pump outlet pipe.

Remove the nut that connects the EGR outlet pipe to the EGR valve inlet pipe assembly.

Remove the EGR valve adapter pipe assembly.

Follow the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Take out the EGR valve outlet pipe.

Begin by installing the EGR valve inlet adapter pipe.

Install the EGR valve outlet pipe, ensuring to adhere to the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

The EGR outlet pipe nut.

Install the EGR pipe bolt, tightening it to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

Install the EGR valve outlet pipe.

Raise the vehicle again and install the EGR valve inlet adapter pipe bolt to the exhaust manifold, tightening it to 30 N.m (22 lb in).

Take off the EGR pipe assembly nut from the exhaust manifold and remove the EGR pipe.
