You must remove the intake manifold cover before you can replace the Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve. Begin by removing the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve's engine harness electrical connector. Then take off the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting from the solenoid purge valve. Remove the EVAP purge solenoid valve bolt and then take out the EVAP purge solenoid valve. Property owners should place the EVAP purge solenoid valve into its position while following the Fastener Notice. Secure the EVAP purge solenoid valve bolt with a torque of 10 N.m (89 lb in). The EVAP pipe quick connect fitting should attach to the solenoid purge valve followed by reattaching the engine harness electrical connector to the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve. Replace the intake manifold cover as the last step.
