How to replace the canister purge valves on 2006 Buick Lucerne?

Start the EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) CANISTER PURGE SOLENOID VALVE replacement by first removing the intake manifold cover. Start by unconnecting the engine harness electrical connector from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve. Then remove the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting from the solenoid purge valve. Remove the bolt from the EVAP purge solenoid valve and remove the valve itself. Mount the EVAP purge solenoid valve in place while installing it along with the EVAP purge solenoid valve bolt and apply 10 N.m (89 lb in) of torque according to the Fastener Notice. The EVAP pipe quick connect fitting must be connected to the solenoid purge valve followed by installation of the engine harness electrical connector to the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve. Reinstall the intake manifold cover as the final step.
