How to replace the canister purge valves on 2008 Buick Lucerne?

The Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve replacement requires starting by taking off the intake manifold cover. The Engine harness electrical connector disconnects from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve while the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting disconnects from the solenoid purge valve. Start by removing the EVAP purge solenoid valve bolt and finally extract the valve. Start the installation process with the EVAP purge solenoid valve before installing the bolt to secure it by applying 10 N.m (89 lb in) torque. Follow by connecting the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting to the solenoid purge valve then installing the engine harness electrical connector to the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve. Reattach the intake manifold cover as the last step.
