How to replace the canister purge valves on 2007 Cadillac STS?

The procedure starts with turning off ignition then removing the fuel injector sight shield. The first step in the replacement process involves removing two connections. First disconnect the purge line from the purge valve solenoid and then remove the electrical connector that connects to the solenoid. You must withdraw the purge line from both the manifold side of the purge valve solenoid before removing the solenoid from its bracket. Start by installing the purge valve solenoid onto its bracket followed by joining the electrical connector and purge line from the manifold side. After connecting the purge line to the purge valve solenoid you can reinstall the fuel injector sight shield.
